Welcome to the Portland Police Reserve Officers Foundation.  We are a non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation organized to support reserve police officers in the City of Portland, Oregon.

Reserve officers are ordinary citizens that volunteer as police officers without pay.  They undergo the same testing and background process as paid officers. They attend a police academy, graduate as fully sworn police officers, and carry firearms in the performance of their duties.

Reserve officers work in every neighborhood to improve the livability of Portland and risk their own safety and well-being to protect their fellow citizens.

The Portland Police Reserve Officer’s Foundation raises money to support these citizen volunteers by reimbursing them for uniforms, equipment, training, recognition & awards, and other costs associated with providing free police services to the City of Portland.
